Abstract
My aim in this paper is to carry out a philosophical reflection based on the state-of-the-art of the literature about cultured meat, in order to show how im portant is to envisage and deal with the actual questions at stake. Therefore, in the first section I will present the main historical information about in vitro meat; in the second section I will discuss the linguistic-ontological question of whether it can be defined as “meat†or not; and in the third and last section I will relate and discuss the main ethical stances in the ongoing debate.
